Avenue of the Giants

Along the West Coast Highways in Norther California, there are stretches of preserved old-growth forest.

Some of the trees in there are massive, and among the oldest living things on Earth. This photo was taken during a stroll through Avenue of the Giants. James, the figure seen walking through the forest is over 6 feet tall, to give you some perspective!
